'Fast and Furious' Web Site Announced

www.northbt.com

The all-new North web-site will soon be on-line. Developers are working hard behind the scenes to provide a powerful, rich site which will be useful for current and future customers, and provide a news and library section for the casual browser keen to keep abreast of hot industry topics and developments.

Among the design criteria are :

  • Access to all of the North documentation library on-line
  • A rich news environment, with articles and editorial among new product releases and product updates. Search and filter facility for hot topics and product sub-sections
  • Look-up facility for the North Driver System compatibility guide - by names of driver, type of system, etc.
  • Rapid site-wide search facilities for news, case studies, documentation, etc.
  • Privilege areas for existing customers, with special items of interest and news
  • Very quick turnaround for web pages and searches
  • Adoption of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) standards
  • Provide a high degree of usability for people with disabilities

James Freeman, the web site project manager, says :

"We are always looking at ways to improve the delivery of information to our customers, both existing and potential, and we see the web as the ideal vehicle for getting the right information into the right hands as smoothly and quickly as possible."

North expect the new web site to be fully on-line by the end of September 2002.
