Mitsubishi Air Conditioning and North have announced the release of a North communications driver for the Mitsubishi "City Multi" ranges of Air Conditioning Units, further enhancing the North portfolio of drivers for many of the leading manufacturers of packaged HVAC controls.
The City Multi system is used across many different types of conditioned building space, and is most suitable for larger premises such as office blocks, hotels and shopping malls. The system consists of networks of indoor units that can be accessed through gateways.
The new MITSCITY driver links the Mitsubishi City Multi air conditioning system, via a Mitsubishi interface unit (IFU-100SA), to either Compass or ObSys. For each indoor unit, the temperature, air speed, louvre, van and damper status can be read, and the setpoints for temperature and humidity, and the unit operating mode, can be read and written. In addition, the filter status can be reset.
James Palmer, UK Sales Manager for North, comments:
"I am very excited about this new driver. Mitsubishi are one of the leading providers of air conditioning in commercial and domestic buildings, and we are delighted to have an association with such a prestigious partner. We hope this development continues to underpin our long-term commitment to the packaged controls industry."
The IFU interface module is available direct from North as well as from Mitsubishi.
