World leading fire system manufacturer Morley IAS and North are pleased to announce the release of a new driver to provide a direct connection to Morley's ZX range of fire panels. This new development negates the need for the Morley Modbus interface. There are two new XOM (eXtensible Object Model) interfaces and both are available now for Compass or as an OSM direct to a PC running Obsys. An ObView template has been generated in co-operation with Morley to give engineers a ready made GUI onto any Morley ZX fire panel. The two new interfaces are as follows:

Morley-IAS single panel driver

A single panel can be monitored for faults and alarms, as can individual zones, loops and detectors. Loops can be scanned to determine the type of detectors connected, and the system can be reset and alarms silenced. A count of current alarms is also available, and the panel display can be emulated.

Morley-IAS multiple panel driver

Up to 99 panels can be connected on the Morley network. Each panel can be monitored for faults and alarms, as can individual zones, loops and detectors. The system can be reset and alarms silenced.
