It is not always enough to know who or how many people are in your buildings. Sometimes you need to know exactly where they are - not only for security reasons, but for time and attendance, health and safety, asset tagging or muster point control.
LOCATOR from North allows personnel movements to be tracked between secure zones in premises of all sizes. Movements can be displayed graphically through proprietary building management packages, or served to standard Web browsers as html. The system allows anti-passback strategies to be adopted - preventing the same access card being used for multiple access to secure zones.
LOCATOR can store information about building users centrally or locally, making the system particularly easy to administer for single buildings and estates alike.
Utilising North’s modular Zip data acquisition and control concept, LOCATOR is both economical to design and straightforward to install. Conventional door locks, contacts and off-the-shelf card readers are employed, while the Zip system self-initialises on power-up. North’s system architecture uses proven network standards at all levels - including TCP/IP for the ultimate in management flexibility.
LOCATOR is just one of a range of building management solutions available from North.
