Hitachi and North have announced the release of an enhanced North communications driver for the Hitachi CS-Net air conditioning system.
CS-Net and their associated Remote Controllers is Hitachi's computer control network system for the Set Free VRF and Utopia ranges of air conditioning. The system is designed to run on Microsoft Windows and has the ability to control up to 16 outdoor units and 192 indoor units per interface. The flexibility of the Set Free system allows the internal data to be easily accessed and controlled by the user, with features including temperature, mode and fan speed settings and groupings, in a variety of European languages with a secure access facility.
The new HTACHICS driver links the CS-Net software, via a PC, to either Compass or ObSys. The new facilities include access to the remote controllers, the setting of local/central, and the defrost status for each indoor unit. This is in addition to the previous options of monitoring/setting temperature setpoints, fan sppeds, mode of operation, on/off status and monitoring the suction temperature and error status.
