The ZiP M7011B domestic boiler controller is the latest addition to the rapidly increasing family of ZiP modules. Like the rest of the range it combines North's twin philosophies behind product design - ease of use and economic pricing.
The M7011B gives simple and configurable boiler control. The module is designed to provide hot water and control heating in a single zone. Heating demand is generated either manually or automatically (for example, time switching) and user-defined setpoints (two for room temperature, one for water) control the firing of the boiler. The pump for the water is run before the boiler is fired and switched off after, ensuring the heated water is not being wasted.
The M7011B relies on a proven RS485 network for communications between the boiler controllers and a ZiP Master. Compass, one version of the ZiP Master, sits on an RS485-based integration network which is compatible with over 200 different building-control systems, including CCTV, bms, security, lighting and many international standards. Another version of the ZiP Master, Commander, serves information directly onto IP as HTML web pages and can send alarm messages via e-mail.
