McQuay (UK) Limited, manufacturer of heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment, and North announced the release of an XOM (eXtensible Object Model) communications driver for the McQuay Frame 4 chiller range.

The Stargate™ Frame 4 single screw compressor forms part of McQuay Internationals newest range of chillers, found in the air cooled ALS range.

This recent addition enhances the range of XOM drivers available for McQuay International chillers to include:

• Frame 4 Chillers
• Series 100 and 200 Centrigugal Chillers
• Chiller System Controller (CSC)
• Series 200 Flooded Screw Chiller
• Reciprocating Chillers
• Roof top Units
• Self Contained Air Conditioning Units
• Air Cooled Screw Chillers (Stargate)
• Unit Ventilator
• Water Source Heat Pump

The enhanced North XOM driver communicates with up to 31 controllers using the Carel RS485 supervisor protocol. The driver collects all information available and includes:

Remote start and stop of the unit
Reading and set point adjustment of regulation and alarm parameters
Monitoring of output status and unit sensors
Monitoring of alarm states

The information available depends on the model, version and programming within the controller.
