North Building Technologies announced the release of an XOM (eXtensible Object Model) communications interface for Mitsubishi Electric's Procon IP50M and IP32M. The IPxxM is a new product from Mitsubishi that has simplified integration for the City Multi and Mr Slim air conditioning ranges.
Previously, integrating to these two systems involved separate interfaces (MitsCity for the City Multi system and JBus\MrSlim for the Mr Slim system). The Procon IPxxM, however, is compatible with both of these air conditioning systems. As Mitsubishi are introducing their Procon range and phasing out their original interface units, so will North's new MitsubishiIP interface supercede the MitsCity and JBus\MrSlim.
Each Procon unit can communicate with a number of Indoor units via ethernet; the IP50M can talk to 50 indoor units,
the IP32M, 32. There is also the IP100M, but this is essentially two IP50Ms in the same enclosure, both having separate
communications ports so must be treated as such.
Each Indoor unit has the following functionality:
Return Air Temperature (monitor)
Error Status (monitor)
Temperature Setpoint (monitor/adjust)
Operting Mode (monitor/adjust)
Fan Speed (monitor/adjust)
Unit OnOff (monitor/adjust)
CP/MITSUBISHIIP/RS232 Compass Point for Mitsubishi IPxxM
OBS/MITSUBISHIIP ObSys driver module for Mitsubishi IPxxM
