Following feedback from our customers, North announce improved alarm handling in ObSys. Alarm Manager offers additional functionality in receiving and managing alarm events.

Alarm Manager can be engineered to connect with several alarm lists, where alarms are stored as they arrive. From the Alarm Manager window you can then sort the alarms in each list, snooze, silence, delete, add notes, and view associated information for each alarm.

Alarm Manager Features

ObSys Alarm Manager connects to ObServer, and contains several modules that include:

• Storage of alarms - up to 4096 alarms per list
• View alarm events from several alarm lists - stored locally or remotely
• Alarm annunciation - sound and display the latest alarms as they arrive
• ObSys Alarm Database interface - trigger files associated with an alarm.
• ObSys Security interface - security levels configurable per list and priority.
• Sort the alarms in each list
• Snooze, Silence, Delete, and add a note to any alarm in a list
• Send To - forward selected alarms to other destinations
• Archiving of alarms - deleted alarms exported to a comma separated value (csv) file.

Alarm Manager offers an advanced solution for the management of single or multi-site alarm events. Alarm lists are provided by the AlarmStore interface and can be located on the same computer, networked server, or Compass Point.
