Kentec Electronics are the UK's leading independent fire control panel manufacturer. Established over 20 years at their base in Dartford, Kentec open protocol fire panels are distributed all over the world.

Building on their open protocol approach, Kentec have worked alongside North to provide the market with connectivity to almost any Integrated Building management system, either via BACnet, Modbus and LON or to standard HVAC control systems such as Johnsons Metasys, Cylon and even Trend (including IQ3), via proprietary protocols.

Norths’ Kentec interface allows the status and analogue values from individual sensors or the status of Zones, loops and panels to be shared with any third party system. Also, if you are using ObSys or an Observer based user interface product you can isolate detectors, zones and loops and take control of the evacuate and reset features of an individual panel.

The driver has now been successfully beta tested on four sites -using Kentec panel software v5.7 or later- and is now available on general release.
