North are pleased to announce that we are a main sponsor of the CIBSE Annual Dinner & low carbon performance awards 2009. This prestigious event will be hosted by Dame Ellen MacArthur with Ken Livingstone giving the after dinner speech. We have recently installed a fully integrated North control system into CIBSE HQ in Balham, as part of the CIBSE Carbon 60 project. Sponsoring the low carbon awards further demonstrates North’s commitment to a sustainable future.

North care about the environment. That’s why we are working hard to develop technologies that allow better management of energy hungry services in buildings. We have already created simple devices to intelligently connect lighting occupancy sensors to fan coil units, without the need for huge retrofit projects. We also have systems that can learn how a building is used, along with predicting weather patterns so that building services are optimised for comfort and the environment.

These kinds of products are the future for the controls industry and North intends to stay at the head of it.
