North release Vaisala interface.

North’s Vaisala interface allows Vaisala's WXT520 weather station to share data with the Norh BMS system and with third party systems such as proprietary closed protocol systems or standard protocols such as XML, Modbus, Lon and BACnet.

The Vaisala WXT520 is unique in that it has no moving parts, has low enough power consumption to run from photo voltaic panels and has an RS232 interface. It can also differentiate between rain, hail and snow and will record duration and intensity of any given weather event.

Data available from the Vaisala WXT includes (but is not limited to):

  • Air Temperature
  • Wind Speed (average, max and min)
  • Wind Direction (average, max and min)
  • Air Pressure
  • Rain (Accumulation, Intensity, Duration)
  • Last Rain (Accumulation, Intensity, Duration)
  • Hail (Accumulation, Intensity, Duration)
  • Last Hail (Accumulation, Intensity, Duration)

The VaisalaWXT driver is available now. For more information see the VaisalaWXT interface page or contact sales.
