The ALCSpectrum interface links the ALC Spectrum lighting controls system to North's Extensible Object Model.
Although the ALC Spectrum lighting system is based on the CAN bus open protocol, an ALC RS232 interface module is required. The interface provides access to 16 virtual inputs and 8 virtual outputs.
These virtual points can then be mapped on to values within the lighting control system. The outputs provide a lighting level that may be read from, and the inputs provide a control state that may be written to.

The ALCSpectrum interface is available on the following North platforms:
| OSM/ALCSPECTRUM | OSM available with all ObSys editions |
| CP/ALCSPECTRUM/232 | Compass Point with ALC Spectrum interface |
| CMDR/ALCSPECTRUM | Commander with ALC Spectrum interface |
