Access interface

Schematic showing Access interface

The Access interface provides access control for a single door from North's Extensible Object Model. Password entry is provided by connecting a supported proximity, magnetic card, or PIN reader to the interface. Authentication of passwords is then provided by using either the internal security module, which provides authentication of up to five users, or an external security module such as the TokenMax interface that provides authentication of up to 2000 users.

For door control and monitoring, the interface requires access to two digital inputs and two digital outputs. These can be from any object on North's Extensible Object Model. An external time control module can be used to enable users in the security module, and open the door during specific periods, etc.
