The DMDVST interface links a Dedicated Micros DVST video transmission system via a DVST200 receiver to North's Extensible Object Model. A Dedicated Micros DVST video transmission system is typically used for security and surveillance and allows digitised live video images to be relayed across standard PSTN or ISDN modem links. The DVST200 has a hard drive that can store these live images and is known as the on-line sequence. Remote sites can be dialled up, enabling telemetry control of the cameras. The interface is also capable of storing telephone numbers and passwords for up to 10 sites (or ‘links’).
Dedicated Micros DVST200 video transmission system - Allows dialling into sites using either the telephone number directly, or via a look-up table. Sites can also dial in if an alarm occurs. Once connected to a site, picture attributes can be altered and PTZ cameras can be selected and controlled. The online sequence may be accessed (functionally similar to a VCR).
The DmdVST interface is available on the following North platforms:
| CP/DMDVST/232 | Compass Point with DmdVST interface |
| OSM/DMDVST | OSM available with all ObSys editions |
