The McQyCC interface links the McQuay International's range of Centrifugal Chillers to North's Extensible Object Model.
The OSM supports both the Series-100 and 200 Centrifugal Chiller Controller in the following configurations:
Single chiller control panel connected directly to the OSM
Up to 63 chillers connected via an McQuay OPM panel to the OSM
Lead-lag load configuration of two chillers connected to the OSM
The purpose of a chiller is to cool the water that passes through it. When the unit is operating, the controller monitors the leaving chilled water temperature and compares it to the chilled water temperature setpoint. If the water temperature is not the desired value, the controller will adjust unit operation to achieve the setpoint temperature. McQuay manufactures two types of centrifugal chillers: single compressor and dual compressor units. Single compressor units have one control panel and dual units have two. In a dual configuration, each panel controls one of the two compressor circuits in the unit.
