The SatchSNP interface links a system supporting the Satchwell network protocol, Satchnet, to North's Extensible Object Model. Providing support for the Canatal International implementation of the Satchnet protocol, the interface acts as a client (master) device.
The Satchwell interface can access data from any 'Table' within a connected Satchnet (slave) device. Values can be read from and written to the 'Table'. The interface can access values using the following data formats:
Bit - a particular bit within a byte;
Byte - a number between 0 and 255;
Word - two bytes read together to create a number between 0 and 65535;
BCD - two binary coded decimal digits;
Swapped Integer - a signed number in the range -32767 and 32767 (scaling can be applied);
ASCII text - a number of registers that hold ASCII printable characters.
Satchwell - Satchnet protocol compatible slave devices
Canatal International - Precision Air Conditioning units
The SatchSNP interface is available on the following North platforms:
| CP/SATCHSNP/485 | Compass Point with Satchwell SNP interface |
| OSM/SATCHSNP | OSM available with all ObSys editions |
