The TrendIQ interface links the Trend Control Systems Heating and Ventilation controllers to North's Extensible Object Model (XOM). The interface can communicate directly with an IQ controller via the local 'supervisor' port, or it can communicate with a network of IQ controllers via a CNC or via the supervisor port, configured as a virtual CNC.

The TrendIQ interface can receive alarms from the Trend network and transmit them to other devices on North's XOM. The interface can also receive inter-controller communications (IC-comms) values from the Trend network for use with any devices within the North XOM.

Supported Range

Trend Control Systems IQ controllers that are compatible with the TrendIQ interface include:

• Trend IQ70 Series controllers
• Trend IQ90 Series controllers
• Trend IQ90+ Series controllers
• Trend IQ1xx Series controllers
• Trend IQ2xx Series controllers
• Trend IQ3 Series controllers

Supported Values

Typically the following values can be accessed from the Trend Controllers:

• Read and Write Knob and Switch values (adjust setpoints control outputs etc.)
• Read Sensor values such as temperatures and adjust high and low limits of same
• Receive Alarm messages generated by the controller
• Adjust Time clocks and Calendars (not supported on IQ3 range)
• Read data logs from Trend controllers (ObSys and Integrator platforms can archive and display these logs)
• Access bits and bytes and typically all variables within controller (read/write access depends on value type)
• Adjust Time clocks and Calendars (not supported on IQ3 range)
• Trend PIN numbers are supported for asjusting values
