The UserData interface connects to North's Extensible Object Model (XOM), and holds information about objects.
This information becomes a central store for users to view and adjust values from other devices on the XOM.
There are many different devices and applications that can use the information within a UserData:
A Web browser accessing a page on the North XOM Web Server;
An SMS text message accessing the North XOM GSM SMS Server;
A North ObSys page, running on a PC elsewhere on the system;
A North Zip display M7202A module.
Each UserData can holds many pages of information; these pages hold information about engineer-defined topics. Topics might include heating, boilers, floor 1, lighting, etc.
Each page holds up to several pieces of data: data read periodically from elsewhere; or data to be sent elsewhere. The engineer decides the labels, value-ranges, etc.
As the UserData interface is a system enhancement module, there is no associated device for there to be a range of products.
The UserData interface is available on the following North platforms:
| CP/USERDATA/MRTC | Compass Point with User Database interface |
| CMDR/ | Available with all Commander interfaces |
| OSM/USERDATA | OSM automatically loaded with all ObSys editions |
