The Vesda interface links the Xtralis (previously Vision Systems) VESDA early warning, aspirating smoke detection range to North's Extensible Object Model. The interface connects via a VESDA High Level Interface (HLI) and is compatible with the VESDA LaserPLUS, LaserSCANNER and LaserCOMPACT ranges.

The VESDA system consists of Zones (Panels) connected together via a bus. Some of these zones have sectors (Pipes/Detectors) that test the air for smoke particles. Each zone can generate reset alarms, fire alarms, isolation alarms, fault alarms and status alarms. Zone and Sector statuses can be accessed from the interface, as well as panel display values.

Supported Range

VESDA LaserPLUS Zone - Overall zone, thresholds and display information can be monitored and reset.
VESDA LaserSCANNER FAS Zone - Overall zone, 4 sectors, thresholds and display information can be monitored and reset.
VESDA LaserSCANNER FD Zone - Overall zone, 4 sectors, thresholds and display information can be monitored and reset.
VESDA LaserCOMPACT Zone - Overall zone, thresholds and display information can be monitored and reset.
