YorkTalk Interface
The YorkTalk interface links York International's ISN controllers, supporting the ASCII Microgateway (previously called YorkTalk) protocol, to North's Extensible Object Model.
The interface can connect either directly to a single chiller, or to a network of chillers.
If connecting to a single ISN controller, the interface is connected directly to the York ISN chiller controllers RS232 port. The 'Linc Chiller' RS232 port should be configured for the YorkTalk protocol.
If connecting to a network of chillers, the interface is connected to a York XL Translator. The XL acts as a gateway for the ASCII Microgateway/YorkTalk interface to communicate with the chillers via the York LAN. York Chillers should be fitted with the 'Linc Chiller' module.
Only values from the York chiller 'Report Configuration' (feature 48) are available via the YorkTalk interface. To access a fuller range of values use the YorkISN interface.
