Kentec Interface

Schematic showing Kentec interface

The Kentec interface links a network of Kentec Syncro fire detection panels to North's Extensible Object Model. The Kentec interface currently supports panels with Apollo or Hochiki devices.

Wiring loop and detector states may be accessed from a network of up to 64 panels from the Kentec Syncro range. In addition a panel may be reset, silenced, or the sounders set. Device states may also be read and some may be isolated.

The Kentec fire panel network can generate reset alarms, fire alarms, isolation alarms, fault alarms and status alarms.

Supported Range

Kentec Syncro panel – Supports up to 4 wiring loops, each with 126 devices (Apollo or Hochiki).
Kentec Syncro AS panel – Supports up to 2 wiring loops, each with 126 devices (Apollo or Hochiki).
Kentec Syncro Focus and Response panels - Repeater panel with no detectors connected.

Protocol v5.80 or later is required and the panels printer should be disabled from the options menu.
