M7002A Data Acquisition module

Zip M7002a Schematic

The Zip M7002A is a 6 digital input and 4 digital output module. Each of the 6 digital inputs is designed to connect directly to a volt-free switch. The switch reads 'off' when the switch is open, and 'on' when the swich is closed. Each input has an on-board red LED that is lit when the input is on.

Each of the 4 digital outputs is capable of handling 277VAC @ 10A or 28VDC @ 10A. Each output has an on-board red LED that is lit when the output is on.

With flexibility in mind

  • Integrates seamlessly with hvac, access control and other building control and monitoring systems
  • Up to 6 inputs can be provided by a single module
  • Up to 4 outputs can be provided by a single module
  • All inputs can generate alarms
  • Relay outputs can be used as normally open or normally closed
  • Relay outputs can switch mains power

Economical to apply

  • Low-cost Zip-based solution
  • Already proven technology
  • Employs off-the-shelf contacts for inputs

The M7002A relies on a proven RS485 network for communications between the modules and a ZipMaster. Compass, one version of the ZipMaster, sits on an RS485-based integration network which is compatible with over 200 different building-control systems, including CCTV, bms, security, lighting and many international standards. Another version of the ZipMaster, Commander, serves information directly onto IP as HTML web pages and can send alarm messages via e-mail.
