The Zip M7004A is a 6 universal input and 4 universal output module. Each of the 6 universal inputs is designed to is capable of taking a digital, thermistor (10k3A), 0-20mA, 0-5VDC, or 0-10VDC input. The input readings can be rescaled to produce useful engineering units. When using digital inputs, alarms can be generted if the connections are tampered with by setting the type as 'monitored'

Each of the 4 universal outputs can be configured to produce a 0-10VDC signal, or as a digital where it will produce 12VDC@100mA to power a relay.

The M7004A relies on a proven RS485 network for communications between the modules and a ZipMaster. Compass, one version of the ZipMaster, sits on an RS485-based integration network which is compatible with over 200 different building-control systems, including CCTV, bms, security, lighting and many international standards. Another version of the ZipMaster, Commander, serves information directly onto IP as HTML web pages and can send alarm messages via e-mail.
