The North Building Technologies interface list offers one of the widest range of compatible building-control systems. There are hundreds of systems supported, with new systems added each month.

How do I request a new interface?

To request a new driver simply contact us or complete our online form with details of the manufacturer and system. Once we have received your request we will contact the system manufacturer to request protocol documentation and test hardware.

Can you develop a driver without the manufacturer's compliance?

Sorry, but we will not do that. We pride ourselves on our relationship with manufacturers and will not commence development without the manufacturer's permission.

Are there any issues with privacy and manufacturer's protocols?

Manufacturers often request that we enter into a non-disclosure agreement, and providing there are no clauses that restrict the sale of our products, we are normally happy to agree.

How long is the development process?

A general rule of thumb is that once we have received the protocol documentation and hardware the development time is normally between four and eight weeks. Of course, some developments have and will take longer or shorter.

How much will it cost me?

Developments are undertaken free of charge, providing there are no re-sale restrictions on products using the new driver software.
