To help you if you encounter difficulties adjusting the icons for the OffOn and NoYes objects, we have compiled the most frequently asked questions.
If an object is of type OffOn or NoYes, then it is a digital value (0 or 1). Both types of object are just different ways of looking at the same value. If the value is a 0, then a OffOn object will convert this to 'Off', whereas a NoYes object would see the same value as a 'No'.
There are several alternative views of both OffOn and NoYes objects (ie different icons), but there may not be the exact representation that you require. If this is so, then you can add your own. This could be a static icon, or an animated icon. There are two specific objects in the Alternative Items (for NoYes and OffOn) for changing static and animated icons. These are called EditEntry and EditDynEntry. For static icons for 0/1 states use EditEntry, for animated icons for 0/1 states use EditDynEntry. The animation of icons is accomplished with icl (icon library) files. To begin, start by choosing the EditEntry item or EditDynEntry item from the Alternative Item list accessed by right clicking on the object.
To use EditEntry, copy and paste the item on to an alternative view. Next right click on the item and
click on properties. Within the properties box are tabs for Off Icon and On Icon. By changing the path
any icon can be used for the 0/1 states. Closing the alternative view will save any changes.
To use EditDynEntry copy and paste the item on to an alternative view. Next right click on the item and click on properties. Within the properties box are tabs for Icon, Start Index and End Index for 0/1 states. Change the path for the icl files. For the animation to work the Start and End Index values need to be set. If both the Start and End Index values are the same then the Icon will appear to be static. ObView can handle a maximum of 16 icons in an icon library.
