To help you if you encounter difficulties forcing new views in ObView to run at full screen size, we have compiled the most frequently asked questions.
There are several different ways of getting the ObView window to fill the screen. It is important to decide first how the PC is being used:
To retain the functionality
of running ObView and still being able to run other applications, access to the Toolbar and the
Active Tile Bar is required. The straightforward way to achieve this is to specify the size of the view
when creating it. In the new view wizard there are three different view sizes that will match screen
resolution. Once the view size has been set then it would require the editing of the Obv file to change
it. The second way of retaining Toolbar and the Active Tile Bar is to select a basic or advance view
(when creating a new view) and then place an object on to the view that holds the window to the required
size. This could be a background bitmap that has been designed to fill the screen or an object placed in
the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
If the PC is dedicated to
the ObSys package and the running of ObView, then access to the Toolbar and Active Tile Bar are no
longer required. Select ‘User’ on the menu bar and click on ‘Options’ that appear on the drop down menu.
The User Options window appears. Select the view tab and in the mode box change the radio button from
make views as small as possible to make views fill the screen. Click apply and then Ok. The ObView window
will fill the screen removing the Toolbar and Active Tile Bar.
